Shooting from the Inside
As an ultra runner, I've spent countless hours moving through wild landscapes-threading through local paths and high alpine terrain alike. These miles have taught me to notice the subtleties of a landscape: how the sun spills over the ridgeline at dawn, how it scorches the trail by midday, and how it melts away at dusk, surrendering the sky to the moon's pale glow.
These aren't just poetic observations-they're experiences that live in my bones and burnt in memory. And it's exactly what shapes the way I photograph runners. I move with intention, timing, and empathy because I know what it feels like to climb a peak after 30 miles on tired legs. I know when the light will break through the trees just right, and where the emotion lives on a runner's face when the trail starts to fight back.
Sweat in my eyes, heartbeat in my throat, an my cameras slung awkwardly across my chest are the moments that bring my best work forward.
Shooting from the outside
My photography stems from street photography, where I first learned to chase fleeting moments and frame the poetry of the everyday. Through my lens, I’ve trained my eyes to catch glimmers of emotion and subtle changes in atmosphere—the kind that vanish in an instant. Street photography also taught me to see cinematically—to compose with intention, to let light and shadow carve out a larger story unfolding within the frame. That rhythm of observation, patience, and timing became the foundation of how I approach all my work behind the camera.
Now, as an ultra distance event photographer, that same instinct guides me through hours of movement and silence, grit and grace. I’ve come to recognize the quiet drama in each stride, the way fatigue softens a face or resolve sharpens a gaze, and how even the landscape shifts in tone and texture as the miles unfold. The trail, much like the street, is full of unspoken narratives waiting to be caught in a blink. Street photography taught me how to see; ultra running has taught me what to feel. Together, they shape a vision that blends the cinematic with the sincere—where every image holds both motion and meaning.
Passions combined
an ultra runner and artist based out of Southern California. Passionate about capturing the raw energy and transformative moments of endurance events my work goes beyond action shots — it tells the story of your race, the unique journey each runner takes, and the beauty of the landscape that surrounds them.
My photos are more than just images; they’re tools to connect with your audience, amplify your story, and bring your events to life.
If you’re looking to elevate your visual narrative and leave a lasting impression, I’d love to help make your upcoming races unforgettable.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
